Bite Correction and Smile Makeover Results in Traverse City, MI

This patient was referred to us by another dentist that did not do this scope of bite related treatments.  The patient presented with controlled periodontal disease.  The periodontal condition caused her to lose the upper molars and the result left only a couple of teeth hitting in the back.  It was very difficult to chew. The worn fillings and receeded gums made the patient look beyond her years.  The proposal was made to correct the bite and change out some of the bad fillings or to do a complete makeover by crowning all of the teeth at once and make everything look and bite optimally.  Orthodontics were also an option to correct the bite first.   The patient elected to do the crowns and we proceeded to do a wax-up in the laboratory to enable us to make temporary crowns that would duplicate the result we were looking for.  The teeth were prepared on the first day and temporaries were placed that looked and bit together very much like the final result.  The temporaries were adjusted in length and the patient approved the result.  The crowns were delivered all at once and the patient returned a couple of times to adjust length and contours to her satisfaction.  The final after picture at the top shows the final approved look to the front teeth.  The bite correction made it so the patient could chew comfortably and confidently.  This was a fantastic result showing how a bite correction can also lead to taking years off of the appearance of  the patient.  She smile with a now contagious smile!  Call this Traverse City Dentist today for a visit that could change your life!
